This week…

This week we have done more work on our topic ‘Stone Age Survival’ linked to our Science topic ‘Rocks’.

We have been understanding different types of rocks…

CAN YOU REMBER ANY OF THEIR NAMES AND PROPERTIES YEAR 3 HALL?

We have also enjoyed exploring and experimenting with different art tools to sketch different animal prints. We have thought about the fur that our Stone Age ancestors would have worn to keep warm.

WHAT ANIMALS DO YOU THINK WOULD HAVE BEEN HUNTED FOR FUR YEAR 3 HALL?

Relaxing Yoga…

Today we started our Year 3 ‘Little Yogie’sessions. We have leant to calm ourselves through breathing and positive thoughts… we can’t wait for next week’s session!
We wore special healing crystals on our heads- they changed in temperature as we relaxed.

YEAR 3 HALL ARE HERE!!!

What a tiring but great first week we have had! All of the children are settling in well and have worked hard after our relaxing summer break.

Our week has involved us all doing a range of PSCHE work on ‘Rules and Relationships’. We have created our own class rules and have been trying hard to abide by all of them! Year 3 Hall have also made ‘Class Promises’ that we are all eager to keep this year!

Our topic this half term is ‘Stone Age Survival’! We have been studying the techniques and mysteries behind ancient cave art produced by cave people. We even have our very own ‘Stone Age Cave Reading Area’ where we can research, read and imagine we are in the Stone Age! We loved drawing on the cave wall by using chalk and charcoal.

May we enjoy many more weeks of fun, learning and teamwork!
